YOUTH MINISTRIES

In today’s society, our students are faced with many challenges and decisions. Through positive Christian fellowship and in-depth study of God’s word, we work to prepare students to face the world with the WORD.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

Fellowshipping, worshipping and studying the Word of God with a group of women seeking a closer relationship with Jesus Christ is the goal of our women’s ministry. The ladies also host special events through the year.

ADULT and CHILDREN’S CHOIR

Worshipping God through song is an important part of corporate worship for all ages. The children’s choir teaches our children both the stories of the Bible in song and also the importance of offering praise to God. The Adult choir leads in worship while offering praise to God through Special Music.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

At Calvary Baptist Church, the spiritual education of our children is very important. Volunteer leaders teach and live Jesus Christ through Bible study, children’s church, children’s choir, and various other activities.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

Couples volunteer to teach our children the importance of worship. At the start of the sermon, the children are released to the fellowship hall with the adult volunteers where they hear a Bible devotional, play games, and have fun.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Throughout the year, our children’s committee hosts events, such as the Easter Story and Egg Hunt, a Harvest Festival, and VBS for young and the young at heart.

MISSIONS – Local and Foreign

Go and make disciples of all nations was Christ’s last command, and at Calvary Baptist Church, we are committed to the spread of the Gospel message. By taking the Gospel to Alaska, Belize and other countries, sending glasses to Africa, replacing a door on a home down the road, or just praying with someone, we take Jesus to the nations.

WMU

Missions are an important part of today’s church, and the WMU is very involved. Through the Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong, and Georgia Barnett Offerings, they impact local and foreign missions. They also work here at home, preparing bags for the Truck Stop Ministry, Thanksgiving baskets and cookies for the police and fire departments.

GOOD SHEPHERD

This ministry provides a food pantry for anyone who needs a little help sometimes trying to make ends meet. They also support the Baptist Children’s Home through the Fall Food Round-up and sending birthday presents to the children at the Home.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Every year, we fill shoe boxes with books, toys and clothing to be sent to children of the world who would otherwise not receive a gift of love. Bible study groups, families, and members work together to reach these children.

ANGEL TREE

Names of local children and their “wish list” are put on a Christmas tree to be adopted by a family, Bible Study class, or a group of friends. This outreach ministry takes Christ to homes around us at Christmas.
